A Letter from Janet
Bio
Hello Agoura Power of Yoga Family,
I’m thrilled to join this incredible community as the new leader and guide on this shared journey of health and wellness, and am truly excited be part of the vibrant energy that fills our studio. My name is Janet, and I’ve dedicated more than 35 years to studying and practicing wellness, fitness and mindfulness. As a lifelong practitioner and teacher of yoga, I believe that yoga is not only a powerful practice for the body but also a profound journey that nourishes the mind and spirit. It’s an honor to step into this role, where I can support, guide, and grow alongside each of you on this journey.
I'd like to begin by recognizing and expressing heartfelt gratitude to Drorit. Her passion, dedication and care have laid a beautiful foundation for the studio, creating a welcoming space for practice and connection. I am honored to build upon the legacy she has created and I know her spirit will continue to be a source of inspiration for us all.
Yoga has been a cornerstone in my life, grounding me through life’s ups and downs and helping me rediscover joy, strength, and inner peace. With the love and support of my wonderful husband, Matt, I find myself in a place now in my life where I am able to help others and give back. Our older children, Hogan (21) and Kennedy (18), both Oak Park High students are on their way to college while our youngest Niko (11) is at Oak Hills Elementary. My roots are strong in our area with shared devastations like the Woolsey Fire, Borderline and Covid, and shared tribulations like graduations, lacrosse games, birthdays, holidays, weddings, performances and so much more! One of the many reasons I decided to run the studio was because we will be active in the area at least until our youngest also graduates. I'm dedicated and committed to seeing that yoga and it's ancient teachings will thrive in our community.
I am driven by a passion for helping others tap into the transformative qualities of a dedicated yoga practice. My hope is to create an environment where everyone feels welcome—where you can feel supported as you challenge yourself, deepen your practice, and find connection with yourself and others.
Our community is one of warmth, commitment, and resilience. I am here to continue nurturing that spirit and to explore new ways we can come together to support our wellness journeys, both individually and as a family. Whether you’re just beginning or have been practicing for years, my goal is to make this studio a space where you feel seen, valued, and inspired.
Thank you for allowing me to continue the legacy of this incredible community. I look forward to connecting with each of you, sharing moments of growth, and building a future filled with balance, peace, and joy.
With gratitude and excitement,
Janet
